What Is The Bel Air-Beverly Crest Neighborhood Council?
Bel Air-Beverly Crest Neighborhood Council Overview
As a member of the Bel Air-Beverly Crest Neighborhood Council I am proud to serve my community. Beginning in 1991, neighborhood councils were created by the city of Los Angeles as “quasi city entities to advise city decision-makers, including the Mayor, City Council, commissioners, and departmental managers, and staff.”
Serving the Los Angeles hillside communities stretching from Laurel Canyon to Sepulveda Blvd., and from Sunset Blvd. to Mulholland Dr., the BABCNC is proud to represent 27,000 residents through representatives from associations, schools, businesses, faith-based institutions, and other organizations.
As a member of the BABCNC, I encourage resident participation in local government, and strive to work with my fellow members to work with all departments and officials of the city of Los Angeles to better understand my community and the needs of my community.
Some of the recent accomplishments by the BABCNC have included providing the LAFD with fire safety kits, participating in the Mayor’s “Day of Service”, studying and recommending street improvements, distributing brochures and other information on emergency preparedness and crime prevention to residents, and participating in discussions with LADBS and Planning Dept. regarding haul routes and the exportation of earth from our hillside areas.
On the Bel Air-Beverly Crest Neighborhood Council website, residents can view information on myself and my fellow board members, city boundaries the council represents, Neighborhood Council bylaws, information on meetings, links to agendas and minutes, city and county of Los Angeles information, neighborhood HOA’s, and photos. The council also has committees which include, Planning and Land Use, Public Safety/Disaster Preparedness, Outreach and Education, Traffic, Executive, and Bylaws, Rules, and Elections.
As a local resident and leading real estate agent selling Los Angeles real estate, I am thrilled to be a part of the Bel Air-Beverly Crest Neighborhood Council and encourage fellow residents to reach out to the BABCNC with issues and concerns.
