This Sunday, February 28th, the 88th. annual Academy Awards will take place at the famous Dolby Theater at the Hollywood and Highland Center. Millions of people will tune in to watch this year’s top actors and actresses arrive on the red carpet and then to see who wins the top awards. This year’s Oscar nominees are some of Hollywood’s most well known actors and actresses and many of whom call some of LA’s most desirable communities home.
Will Leonardo DiCaprio take home the Oscar for best actor or will Jennifer Lawrence become a two-time Oscar winner on Sunday? Back in late 2014 Jennifer Lawrence picked up this $8.2 million home in Beverly Hills once owned by Jessica Simpson. This stunning French-style home has 5-bedrooms, 5-baths, 5,500 sq. ft., and is located in the guard-gated Hidden Valley community of Beverly Hills. A special feature of the home is the stone and floral courtyard with koi pond, and the private backyard that is surrounded by trees and lush greenery. Jennifer Lawrence is nominated this year for best actress for her role in Joy.
Located in the famed Hollywood Hills area of Los Angeles is Leonardo DiCaprio’s multi-million dollar contemporary-style home. The property has 3-bedrooms, 5-baths, and 4,551 sq.ft. of living space on a 21,707 sq.ft. lot. In addition, Leo also owns two other homes in Malibu, one in Encinal Bluffs and another on Carbon Beach. Both homes come with their own stunning ocean views. This year, Leonardo DiCaprio is nominated for Best Actor for his role in The Revenant.
