With fall in full swing many will begin to see pumpkin patches in Los Angeles popping up all town. These days pumpkin patches offer more family fun than just picking pumpkins themselves. Many pumpkin patches in Los Angeles now offer seasonal foods, face painting, petting zoos, rides, and even corn mazes. Below is a list of the best pumpkin patches located all over Los Angeles that is sure to get anyone in the spirit of fall and Halloween.
Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch
First on the list is the popular Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch which has recently moved locations from West Hollywood to the West Los Angeles College Campus. Now double the size and offering nearly unlimited parking, this pumpkin patch features a large petting zoo, pumpkin decorating, a straw maze, pony rides, face painting, a super slide, and a pumpkin jumper for kids to hop around in. In addition, for those pumpkin carvers who want to get really into the spirit of the season, there will be a master carver on location on October 25th and October 26th this year. Entrance to this fun filled Halloween destination is free during the week and on the weekends it’s $3.00 for children and $5.00 for adults. The patch will officially open on October 2nd. and run through October 31st., 2015.
Hours: 10 a.m.–7 p.m. Monday-Thursday; 9 a.m.–9 p.m. Friday & Saturday and 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday.

Tina’s Pumpkin Patch
Tina’s Pumpkin Patch is one of the most popular spots to pick pumpkins for those located in the San Fernando Valley. Visitors can spend time picking through a large selection of pumpkins and then bring the kids over to the petting zoo or the bouncer to jump around in. There is also a free straw maze, pony rides, and train rides for families to enjoy. The pumpkin patch officially opens on October 1st., 2015 and will be open daily for the remainder of the Halloween season. Entry is free but there is additional costs for other activities offered while inside the pumpkin patch.

Shawn’s Pumpkin Patch
With locations in both Los Angeles and Santa Monica, Shawn’s Pumpkin Patch offers plenty of family fun for kids of all ages. There are pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, arcade games, and even art projects for kids to express their creative side. In addition, there are plenty of other rides such as a Saber Tooth Tiger slide, train rides, a Jurassic Park slide (which also includes an obstacle course), an “Orbotron” (where kids spin around inside a ball attached to a harness), and bungee jumping (which is basically just a big trampoline kids jump on while being secured by a harness). Admission to both locations is free but there are additional costs for activities. The Los Angeles location will be open from October 3rd. – October 31st., 2015 and the Santa Monica location will be open from October 7th. – October 31st. 2015.

Tapia Bros Farm Stand and Pumpkin Patch
Operating as a fresh market stand year-round Tapia Bros Farm Stand also opens up a pumpkin patch in the fall. Visitors can of course pick up great fresh produce like corn, tomatoes, and oranges but there is also a petting zoo, jumper, corn maze, haunted house, and hayrides for guests to enjoy when they aren’t busy picking out pumpkins. The pumpkin patch and other seasonal activities will be opening up the first weekend of October 2015.

The Underwood Family Farms Fall Harvest Festival is a great destination to bring the whole family for lots of seasonal fun. There is a giant pumpkin patch featuring several varieties of pumpkins, a petting zoo, face painting, tractor rides, pony rides, live music on select weekends, circus attractions on select weekends, and many more fall activities at this popular family farm. Admission during the week is $6.00 and on weekends it’s $15.00 plus additional costs for activities. The Fall Harvest Festival will be open daily from October 3rd – October 31st, 2015.
